Dear San Luis Obispo County Voters,
It was the biggest honor in my professional career to be appointed as your SLO County Clerk-Recorder by a majority of the Board of Supervisors in October 2021.
This has been a dream of mine since 2005. My years of proven experience have led me down a natural professional progression from Deputy City Clerk to City Clerk to Assistant County Clerk-Recorder and now to the SLO Clerk Recorder. The experience that I’ve gained by being non-partisan is critical to my success in this role. I am thankful for all my prior opportunities with the City of San Luis Obispo, City of Pismo Beach, County of Santa Barbara, and, of course, the County of San Luis Obispo, because without them, I would not have gained the experience that will continue to enable me to serve the public as the SLO County Clerk.
However, I am well aware that the public’s trust in the elections process is at an all-time low. As your SLO County Clerk Recorder, I will continue to make it one of my goals to change as many misconceptions that the public has about this office and these processes as I possibly can. I have the experience to serve as your top elections official and ultimate public servant. I will continue to inspire confidence and pride within the community, knowing that San Luis Obispo County elections are conducted with the highest level of transparency and integrity.
